When you submit a demo request through our website, we collect:

• Your name and email address
• Your phone number (if provided)
• Your shop name and location
• Information about your business (number of staff, type of work)
• Any details you share in the "biggest challenge" field

Information collected from shop platform users

If you use the Blackbird MD shop management platform (app.blackbirdmd.com), we collect:

• Account credentials (email address and encrypted password)
• Data you enter into the platform — project details, parts, hours, estimates, and related shop records
• Attendance and clock-in records
• Messages sent through the platform's messaging system
• Photos and files uploaded to the platform

Information collected from customer portal users

If you access your restoration shop's customer portal (portal.blackbirdmd.com), we collect:

• Your email address (used to link you to your project)
• Messages you send to the shop through the portal

Automatically collected information

When you visit our website we may automatically collect:

• Browser type and version
• Pages visited and time spent
• Referring URL
• General geographic location (country/region level only)

We do not use advertising trackers, Facebook Pixel, Google Ads conversion tracking, or any third-party marketing analytics tools.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to your demo request and schedule onboarding calls
• Provide and operate the Blackbird MD platform
• Allow shop staff to manage projects, parts, and time records
• Allow customers to view their restoration project status
• Send platform-related communications (account setup, updates)
• Troubleshoot issues and improve the platform

We will never sell your information to third parties. We will never use your shop's operational data for marketing purposes. Your data is yours.

4. Cookies

Our marketing website (blackbirdmd.com) uses cookies for the following purposes:

• Functional cookies — remembering your cookie consent preference
• Session cookies — keeping you logged in to the platform during your session

We do not use third-party advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or cross-site tracking of any kind.

You can decline non-essential cookies using the banner on our website. Declining cookies will not prevent you from using the platform.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (cloud database infrastructure) with industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. Platform files and photos are stored using Supabase Storage.

Our website is hosted on Netlify with automatic HTTPS/SSL on all pages.

We implement reasonable technical measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you cancel your subscription, we will retain your data for 90 days before permanent deletion to allow for data export if needed.

Demo request information is retained for up to 12 months.

7. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers — we use Supabase (database), Netlify (hosting), and Netlify Forms (form submissions) as infrastructure partners. These providers have their own privacy policies and process data on our behalf only.
• Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion — request deletion of your personal data

Blackbird MD is a business-to-business platform intended for use by adults operating automotive businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.
